🚨 Martial Arts for Kids: Empowering Louisiana’s Youth Through Martial Arts 🚨
A groundbreaking non-profit Organization founded in 2019, by legendary Combat Sports promoter Joe Ancona, is making a significant impact in our Community by providing Martial Arts Scholarships for underprivileged youth who otherwise couldn't afford them. MAKusa.org aims to spread awareness among Parents and empower young individuals through Martial Arts, instilling values such as discipline, confidence, and respect, while promoting physical fitness and mental well-being.
Joe Ancona, known for his long-standing presence as a champion kickboxer and his contributions to the combat sports world, is now channeling his passion into creating opportunities for the youth of the New Orleans area. "Every child deserves a chance to develop important life skills, and Children Martial Arts training is an excellent vehicle for this. Our mission is to remove financial barriers and make Martial Arts accessible to kids who need it"
The Definition of Martial Arts includes All Combat Sports, Boxing, Kickboxing, Wrestling, Karate, Judo, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Tai Kwon Do and other forms of Mixed Martial Arts.
MAKusa.org collaborates with local Martial Arts schools, coaches & instructors to offer classes in various disciplines. Through generous donations from individuals, businesses, grants, and fundraising events, MAK provides scholarships and covers the costs of classes, uniforms, and equipment for children in need. "Our vision is to foster a sense of community and belonging among the youth while imparting important life skills like discipline, self-confidence, and conflict resolution," added Ancona. "By doing so, We hope to make a positive, long-lasting impact on their lives."
MAK was founded in 2019, to help New Orleans and our surrounding areas, partnering with local schools, community centers, and outreach programs to identify children who can benefit the most from Martial Arts training. Community members, businesses, and individuals interested in supporting Martial Arts for Kids can do so through monetary donations, in-kind contributions, or by volunteering their time and expertise to our 501c3 Martial Arts Charity
